Get ready to refresh your body, mind and soul to amazing Mayo. Every corner of Ireland offers spectacular nature and beauty. This is one of my favourite walks and hikes in County Mayo. Thousands of Irish people visit it every year and keep coming back because it is truly one of a kind. You will be inspired and feel like you have accomplished something that has changed you for the better. I will make sure you go home with memories and stories to cherish forever. I put an emphasis on your wellbeing from all aspects. Expect to feel like you have escaped from everything! You will feel like a different person after this one!
Croagh Patrick Mountain otherwise known as the Reek is definitely something different. We will start at Murrisk Car Park where you can look up at the mountain, it will always seem a challenge at first. This Reek has a fully built church at the summit and St. Patrick's Grave. This location is a very important site of pilgrimage in Co. Mayo with a tradition of people hiking barefoot, looking over Clew Bay which has 365 islands in the Wild Atlantic Ocean, one for every day of the year!
This is just spectacular to witness on any giving day. Many animals can be seen on this trail, such as the red Irish hare, foxes, and of course, the famous hen and cock raven always like to make an appearance to visitors.
